Clean painted frames with a cloth dampened with a mild soapy water solution, you do not need to put even any commercial cleaning product. This will give good results, and is simple to do. If you have artwork that has gilt frames discoloured, rub them with a piece of lemon, then sponge with a warm solution of baking soda and water. Polish with a piece of chamois leather, and they will be looking beautiful again.
